Pranay struggles with her coder job. Everything seems always to fall apart and ends up in tiring and stressful firefighting sessions.
Pranay tried different solutions, and nothing is really working until that one thing she discovered. A not so subtle change in the way she looks at the world will bring her ways to increase her impact and satisfaction at work.The talk is a real-world practical one that helps you increase your impact and satisfaction at work no matter who you work with.
In the talk, we will follow Pranay, a fictional character who struggles in her current team. The people around her are clueless. Along the way, Pranay learns something from the people she interacts with that gets her thinking in a new way enabling her to take a different course of action.
Bio
Alexis, a member of the Engineering Leadership Team at Enterprise Open Source Software company Red Hat.
For more than 20 years, he has used and built software in diverse sectors such as the automotive industry, a dot-com startup, IT consulting, public sector, software development, and my management and organization consulting and coaching firm.
From 2011 until Red Hat acquired eNovance in 2014, he nurtured and grew the eNovance agile organization from a few individuals to more than a hundred people. During this time, he maintained the team’s focus on delivering private cloud services with OpenStack while building an open and people-centric culture.
He regularly speaks about management and agile transformation and participate in industry events such as the Open Infrastructure Summit, Open World Forum, and Agile Lean Europe.
He loves coaching and mentoring software engineers. It is the foundation to build high impact sustainable organizations.
He is the author of Changing Your Team From The Inside, a book published in 2018. With the second book, I am a Software Engineer and I am in Charge, Michael and he wants to help increase your impact and satisfaction at work.
